Training is a vital part of any Fire Department. With good training, we as emergency responders are able to practice and gain new knowledge to help us do our job quickly, effectively, and safely.

The Ledbetter Fire Department holds training classes on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Class starts at 6:00pm and typically runs 3 hours. There is no training held on the third Tuesday of each month due to Ledbetter Fire Department preventive maintenance and membership business meetings. We invite all firefighters to attend our training no matter if you are a member of LFD or not. We encourage prospective members to come visit and see if we are a department for you.

Also LFD has a long history of a sucessul Jr. Firefighter program for those 15 to 18. We are proud to say that many of our past Jr members now make a living in emergency services because of their start at LFD!!
