Hello, I am Chief Rodney Hall and I would like to take the time to introduce myself. Here's a little about me and my fire service career. I began my time in the fire service in 1996 as a Jr. Firefighter at LFD and have not stopped serving in our states service since then. I'm proudly following my father Stan Hall's footsteps, he was one of the founding members along side retired Chief Terry Stringer. Ledbetter Fire department has been part of my life since the day I was born.
Since my start I have served as a firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, assistant chief, and chief of Burna Fire Department. I have also been serving as an instructor for the Kentucky Fire Commission and leading instruction at the newly formed Fire Academy of Kentucky. For the last 9 years I have worked for the City of Paducah Fire Department and currently am a Lieutenant there.
My wife Kristy and I are proud to call Livingston County home and to be raising our children here. She too serves as a Firefighter/EMT with LFD and Livingston County EMS. So, you could say we are an emergency service family.
Since Returning to serve at Ledbetter as your chief I have made it a priority to preserve our history and build for the future through quality training, public education and recruitment. "Nozzle Forward" creator Aaron Fields coined this phrase, "I am not here for ME, I am here for WE and WE are here for THEM!" This is a motto that LFD will live by under my leadership because you are THEM and we are here for YOU!!!
